Meet ACSI President Dr. Dan Egeler!
Dr. Dan Egeler joined ACSI in 1999 as senior vice president of ACSI Global. He served in that role for 13 years until being appointed as acting president for ACSI in December 2012. He was appointed president in July 2013. His educational experience includes nearly 13 years as a teacher, soccer coach, and high school principal. Prior to coming on board at ACSI, Dr. Egeler directed Alliance Academy in Quito, Ecuador.
His strength is passionately communicating how God is using Christian schooling around the world to accomplish His purpose. Dr. Egeler’s experiences equip him to address the challenge of how ACSI can train the next generation of Christian educators and leaders around the world to establish self-sustaining Christian schooling movements.
Dr. Egeler earned a bachelor’s degree in history from The King’s College (New York, NY), a master’s degree in physical education from Washington State University (Pullman, WA), and a doctorate in administration and instructional leadership from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, AL). He and his wife, Kathy, have four children.
